Hair Case Study

In class we all did a few little experiments on each other but first I did a consultation on my classmate, Jen Morton's hair. This is what is looked like:

After taking the consultation I then went on to do further tests.
First of all I did was to identify what stage of growth her eyebrow hairs were at. Jen’s eyebrows are very blonde and difficult to see. Out of the two I pulled out I was able to identify that one was catagen with a small white bulb on the eye of the hair. This means the hair was changing between the stages of active and resting. The  hair was fully grown. The second hair I pulled out I identified as telogen and there was no white buld on the end. This means it was in the resting stage and the hair was ready to fall out.
The second test I did was the pull test where I grabbed a small section of hair and pulled on it to see how many hairs I could remove. After numerous attempts I struggled to pull out any hair. Her hair is very soft and thick. However, Jen managed to pull out 3 hairs from my head. There is nothing wrong with this and shows both are hair are healthy.
Next came the elasticity test. I got a stand of hair from Jen’s head and pulled it till it snapped. I found her hair stretched a little before snapping however my hair snapped straight away. Jen’s hair is virgin hair however, and mine has been dyed and bleached several times.
That was all the testing we did on the hair. But we did check each other’s hair line and proved nobody has a perfect hair line. Jen has a widows peak that looks a bit like this:
